How do I manage and support a Team member returningto work after an accident?


This applies to all TWG employees.

 

The Team Member may come back to work at pre-injury capacity and therefore just slot back in, however we suggest you still check in regularly and make sure that all is going well.

Alternatively they can come back on fit for selected work (light duties) or on limited hours which gradually increase.

In both these cases you'll have a meeting with the Case Manager who will talk you through the workload, hours etc.The Case Manager is a very valuable resource and you should keep them informed at all times.

We have an obligation to do weekly check-ins with the Team Member. We have to be really careful that the Team Member doesn't exceed their current capability and re-injure themselves, but of course we are keen to get them back to work as soon as possible.
